Sea Hawk Sharkskin Bottom PaintThe Sea Hawk Sharkskin is a traditional 45.2% copper-based hard-modified epoxy bottom paint. Made to aggressively combat all types of marine fouling including sea grass, green weed, barnacles, and other fouling organisms found in both salt and fresh water. Can be applied over most antifouling coatings.Features:Better color consistency for color matchingHighest grade cuprous oxide availableMost effective copper release rateConsistent viscosity means better flow and rolling abilitySpecifications:Finish:Semi-glossCopper Content:45.2%VOC:365 Grams/literCoverage: 320 sq. ft./gal.Number of Coats:2-3Colors Available:6145-Black, 6142-BluePack Size:1 US GallonHow to Apply Sea Hawk Sharkskin Bottom PaintSea Hawk Sharkskin Bottom Paint is easily applied by brush, roller, or spray. When rolling, use only a high-quality short nap 3/8 roller cover. Apply using thin coats. For the smoothest possible finish, thin the paint approximately 10% using Sea Hawk 2053. Sharkskin has a tendency for settling to occur, especially if the paint has been on the shelf for several months. Thoroughly mix the paint before using. Before using, check the sides and bottom of the can to make sure all the pigment has been mixed in.Finish: Semi-GlossCoverage: 320 Sq FtApplication Method: Brush, Rolling, Airless SprayerMaximum Roller Thickness: 3/8 NapNumber of Coats: 2Wet Film Thickness: 5.0 milsDry Film Thickness: 3.1 milsApplication Temp: 50 F Min/ 95 F MaxThinner: If necessary maximum 10% with Sea Hawk 2033Drying TimesSubstrate TempTouch DryOvercoating Time (Min)Launch 73F 2 hours 1 hour 12 hours 95F 1 hour 1 hour 12 hoursSurface Preparation and ApplicationPreviously Painted SurfacesKnown Compatibility of existing antifoulantPower wash to remove any loose paint or other contaminants.Scuff sand with 80 grit sandpaper, remove all residue and let dry.Apply minimum 2 coats of Sharkskin.
